We are in the run-up to the very powerful Lunar Eclipse of 25th April. This will be the first of five eclipses due to in 2013 (the others are a Solar Eclipse on May 10th, a Lunar Eclipse on May 25th, a Lunar Eclipse on October 18th and a Solar Eclipse on November 3rd see details below)
This upcoming Lunar Eclipse of April 25th is very powerful. There are four planets all conjunct in Vedic Libra: the eclipsed Moon, as well as Rahu (North node), Saturn and the Ascendant of the Eclipse Chart. There are four planets opposite, all conjunct in the Vedic Sign of Aries: Mars, Venus, Sun and Ketu (South Node).
Eclipses undam dammed up energies. They are also associated with earthquakes in the Earth’s crust and tidal waves and tsunamis in the Oceans. Their effects on the person are difficult to predict because it depends where the person is at in terms of their spiritual awareness and life path, but the eclipses of 2012 were in Vedic Taurus, and I did find that many people with Ascendant (First House) or Sun or Moon there got very grabby and arrogantly ‘me first’ following the effect of these eclipses. But it can be that if an Eclipse falls on your Sun or your Jupiter, your dammed up inherent success can be liberated and can flow forth. I will be glad to do Predictions for the year ahead, so that you can handle the energies coming your way with knowledge and preparation and tools to understand and transform them. You can book via my astrology page: http://www.earthstarweb.com/astrology.html
The Aries-Libra axis is all about self-assertion vs. relationships. Getting this right so you can make the growth you need to in this life, so you can experience what you were born to experience in this life.
But, of course, you need to take the Houses in which the Eclipse fall in your particular birth chart as well. Predictions are just ‘one size fits all’ unless they are made in relation to your exact particular birth chart! Houses are all about areas of life affairs such as ‘wealth’ or ‘mother’ or ‘spirituality’. And you have to take into account the planets that the Eclipse may fall upon. I have four! One of them is my Sun. Now, the Sidereal Symbol for the degree my Sun (and the eclipse) falls at is: ‘Denotes one of psychic understanding, peculiar knowledge and inspiration who will produce work of use or distinct beauty. Particularly in his understanding directed to certain knowledge of the continuity of life, especially as regards individual existence. Within himself rages the eternal contest between spirit and matter. At one time matter is triumphant, at another spirit, but spirit will gain in the end.’ So I am holding the Vedic Sages to this!!!
More on the upcoming eclipses in other Blogs, later on. Now let’s turn to the other influences:
I feature Vedic Astrology in this Forecast, so you can try it out. However my astrology always normally combines Western and Vedic Astrology. And remember, this prediction, like any prediction, can only be a general guide. This is because Predictions are just ‘one size fits all’ unless they are made in relation to your exact particular birth chart!
On March 1st and 2nd be careful: a lot of relationship pressure and intensity, when the Moon joins Saturn and Rahu (North Node) in Vedic Libra, the sign of relating and harmonizing our energy with others. Both Saturn and Rahu bring pressure and stress to the areas of life they influence. We may imagine others are disrespecting us at this time and we may want to crawl into a shell to avoid them. Actually Saturn and Rahu are in Vedic sign of Libra until the end of 2014, so the relationships-impetus is merely an extra-highlighted long-running theme when the Moon is there as well, as occurs these two days.
On March 3rd there will be maybe more intuition when Mars enters Vedic Pisces. But negatively Mars in Pisces is lies, deceit and attenuating energies. Mars gives courage and drive toward our goals and the willingness to sacrifice for them. Between March 3 and April 11 this courage and sacrifice is Piscean: it’s connected to our highest connection to the divine and principles of self-sacrifice and service.
On March 7 and 8th the Moon goes through the Vedic sign of Capricorn. You may feel a sudden solitude and introspection. But there is an aspect from Jupiter to Capricorn so we may also be filled with inner expansion, grace and connection to the highest.
On March 11th the New Moon in is in Vedic Aquarius, so a new 30 day cycle of community and culture begins connecting you to your highest calling, beyond your personal failures and glories. Retrograde Mercury and also Venus are conjunct this New Moon, so beware all the difficulties associated with Retrograde Mercury (see my recent Blog on this) but Venus, there too, will bring greater love, creativity and etiquette. This New Moon happens in the Vedic Lunar Sign (called a Nakshatra) of Purva Bhadra, which is related to a lightning strike of inspiration, so be open to this. Listen to your inner “eccentric genius” to show up with something good. And this is a star in Pegasus Constellation, the winged horse! Look out for your genius!
On March 11th and 12th the Moon moves on into the Vedic sign of Pisces where it will be conjunct Mars. Just think of all the sharp speech you may have experienced recently when Mercury was conjunct Mars. Now Moon is (briefly) conjunct Mars, so beware emotional excess and battles and emotional frustration, and be careful not to take this out on others. Instead, connect to a good warrior source of light and genuine loving power.
On March 16th and 17th the Moon moves on into Vedic Taurus where it will be conjunct Jupiter and we may connect to peace and contentment, hope and optimism, but beware Taurus’ grabby materialism!
On March 21 and 22nd Moon will be in Vedic Cancer so lots of deep emotions and wanting to merge through the heart and hang on to everything.
On March 27th there’s the Full moon in Vedic Virgo: discrimination, organisation, and, because it’s aspected by Jupiter: grace and wisdom. It’s in the Vedic lunar sign (Nakshatra) of Hasta: the lunar sign of special skill, dexterity (also conjuring and lying!) which has a practical, hands-on approach.
I hope this general one size fits all prediction may be of use for you to refer to as March progresses, and that its Vedic emphasis may interest you.
